ICM Advances Mama Shelter Hotel Development in Mexico City
(Mexico City, Mexico – May 2026) ICM Property Group (“ICM”) is pleased to share continued progress on the hospitality development of Mama Shelter Mexico City, the brand’s first location in Latin America, expected to open later this year.
Located in the Colonia Roma neighbourhood, the project involves the conversion of two 1920s Beaux Arts properties into a 100-key, design-forward hotel organized around a central courtyard. The project is being developed in collaboration with Accor, its lifestyle platform Ennismore which includes the Mama Shelter brand, and local partner Revitas.
Construction is nearing completion, with remaining work focused on final installations and finishes, alongside the curation of the food and beverage offering, a central component of the Mama Shelter brand experience, supporting the project’s transition into an operating asset.
Positioned within one of Mexico City’s most dynamic cultural and lifestyle hubs, the project is designed to capture demand from international travellers and event-driven visitation. As highlighted in Travel + Leisure’s recent coverage of new hotels in the city, Mama Shelter Mexico City is among the notable upcoming openings, reflecting growing interest in design-forward, experience-driven hospitality concepts.
